Black Pearl

The Black Pearl, is a fictional pirate ship that appears in the films Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. The ship belongs to captain Jack Sparrow.

The ship was originally called Wicked Wench (a name adopted from a ship from the Disneyland attraction), and already belonged to Jack Sparrow when he was still working for the British East India Company. When Jack Sparrow refused to carry a group of slaves, the ship was burned and sunk by Lord Cutler Beckett. Later, the ship was salvaged from the seabed by Davy Jones as part of a deal he made with Jack Sparrow. Jack Sparrow christened the ship The Black Pearl because of its black colour.
