These binoculars on tripod made of brass are a great collector's item for your office or study. A pair of binoculars is an optical instrument for viewing objects magnified at long distances.

Contemporary binoculars are usually double (binocular) and consist of two equal telescopes with low magnification. Both viewing halves contain an objective and an eyepiece and are equipped with a system of prisms to straighten the image (an astronomical telescope without these prisms gives an inverted image). Binoculars are therefore also called prism binoculars. The prisms also shorten the binoculars by shortening the beam path.
